last week
On the first of the last days of school (if that makes sense), we worked
on Journaling and telling time. We also cleaned a little of our
classroom (we will do a little each day) including puzzles, journal
folders, and art work. Today was also our last day of centers and
computer lab. Tomorrow, we will visit the library for the last time and
work on froggy math.

Pajama Day!
We had a fun pajama day. We watched movies, finished our math books,
completed centers, and read a story. We also played on the playground
and toured the other grade levels' classrooms. Tomorrow is our
fieldtrip. Be sure to send your child with layered clothing and possibly
some sunblock. Let's hope for nice weather!

PJ Day tomorrow
Today we finished our reading workbooks! They were sent home with your
child. We also practiced telling time to the hour with little plastic
clocks. Tomorrow is our pajama day. Your child can also bring a blanket,
pillow, or stuffed animal. I asked them to only bring two things. They
can also wear a robe or slippers if they like.

Back to School
We worked hard today. We read a new take-home book called "The Quilt".
We discussed times of day such as morning and night, and started a new
unit on farm animals. We watched a cute video about chicks, lambs, pigs,
and calves. We also visited the computer lab. Tomorrow, there will be a
sub in the afternoon so I can finish testing.

Surprise!
Today you will receive your Mother's and Father's day gift. The kids
really put a lot of effort into these projects. We worked on a lot today
in reading and math. We continued our money unit and also talked more
about our catepillars. They are now chrysalides. We are going to watch a
cool video tomorrow about the changes they are making. We have All Arts
Day tomorrow, so please send your child in play clothes.

It's only Tuesday!
We had a full day today. We worked in workbooks, counted money, and had
centers. Mr. Bender was the teacher for awhile today so I could test the
kids on their letters and sounds. We also trimmed our grass pet's hair.
These will be sent home tomorrow.

A little bit of stress!
Today was a little difficult for the children. With a lot of energy,
frustrations with the weather, and excitement for summer, the children
had a difficult time listening and following directions. We practiced
listening, lining up, walking, sitting in our chairs, and keeping hands
to ourselves. I can understand their frustrations! We just need to get
back on track.
